Located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the TRX Hotel is a sustainably designed hospitality development targeting LEED certification. The project emphasizes optimized energy performance through efficient HVAC, lighting, and centralized controls, while water efficiency is achieved with low-flow fixtures and water-saving systems for laundry and landscaping. A high-performance indoor environment is supported by enhanced ventilation, low-VOC materials, and abundant daylight access across guest rooms and common areas. Sustainable materials with recycled content and regional sourcing are prioritized, and a construction waste management plan is implemented to reduce landfill impact. The hotel also benefits from access to public transport and walkable amenities, promoting sustainable mobility. To further enrich the guest experience, features such as acoustic and individual thermal control enhance comfort, while green building education initiatives engage both staff and visitors in the project’s sustainability goals.
