MOSCOW 31/05/2019: A record 35 world’s best property developments were conferred with the FIABCI world Prix d’Excellence Awards 2019 at a gala ceremony at Golden Palace in Moscow, Russia. NEAPOLI’s PKNS HQ was named the Silver Winner in the Office Category.

The PKNS Headquarters has already earned double Green Building Index (GBI) Platinum certifications and was named the most environmentally sustainable large office building in the ASEAN region in 2018 by the ASEAN Centre for Energy. The 320,312 square foot office complex achieves 65% energy savings over conventional projects and cuts CO2 emissions by 2600 tonnes per year. This is equivalent to removing 570 cars from the Malaysian roads or annual emissions from 400 homes. The new Headquarters emphasises PKNS’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and promoting the health and well being of building tenants.

In an interview for the Star newspaper, PKNS CEO Datuk Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain attributed the success to excellent project management and teamworking: “we hired world-acclaimed sustainability expert NEAPOLI, who together with Veritas Architects, ARUP Engineering and Walrus Landscape Architects, developed a sustainability framework that laid the foundation of our strategy.”
