NEAPOLI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with USIM University in Nilai Malaysia in an effort to promote sustainable construction related Research & Development in Malaysia.
The MoU signing ceremony was held in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia and inked between NEAPOLI’s Head of R&D and honourable Prof. Dato’ Dr. Musa Ahmad signed on behalf of USIM. Also present in the ceremony was UTM’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Datuk Dr Ahmad Fauzi Ismail, NEAPOLI’s Michele Ceroni and representatives of 7 other industrial partners.
Collaboration between the two entities paves the way for joint programmes that aim to create a framework to transform Malaysia as a global hub for clean energy and sustainable Built Environment, diversifying Malaysia’s energy and increasing renewable energy contributions. The MoU will endeavour to strengthen, promote and develop on a basis of direct cooperation and collaboration in the field of research, education and in training programs on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. The cooperation between USIM and NEAPOLI began in 2015 with the Joint “Mizan House” entry for the Solar Decathlon Middle East (SMDE) 2018 competition. Mizan house has been shortlisted as the sole representative from Malaysia to reach the Final stage in Dubai in November 2018.
